The Ranobe Cafe is in search of people who are interested in helping to contribute to this blog.
Stop sitting on the sidelines, let your voice be heard!
We are looking for someone who can give us original reviews of light novels (english and or japanese)
What are the job requirements?
– Reviews must be well written, have at least over 500 words, be intelligent, and there should be at least one review given every week or two.
If you are interested, then speak up and leave a comment below.
How can you get the job? How can you prove yourself?
Write your first review for the blog. About what? Any light novel of your choosing. Based on your review, I will choose who gets the job.
Where do you post the review? Anywhere you want, just somewhere where I can read it publicly.
May the best reviewer win. 😉

Why not? It won’t hurt to try – and it’ll be a bit of good practice to cutting my writing down to something intelligible… plus a good motivator to get me to read more. I’ve nearly given up finding a job for the time being, so something work-like would be good for me… orz

My submission.
If I were reviewing consistently I would review the two series I’m currently reading in Japanese: Kara no Kyoukai and Bakemonogatari – and then maybe other stuff I have translated, FLCL, Faust, Welcome to the NHK etc. 🙂 – Hopefully another multitude of things that come my way.

I liked the review, you’ve got the job. 😉
Each review should be for one single WHOLE book or volume, not a chapter or the entire series, k? ^_^
I look forward to reading your next review, for when I can publish it on the blog.
Also, to anyone still wishing to apply. You may still. We can always use more help. 😉

Hehe, I just figured since each Kara no Kyoukai “chapter”/arc has its own film – only the first chapter has been officially published in English, and the current published format was more of an afterthought – they were web published at first, it asked for such a specific look, but yeah review per volume is good 😉 – though I might have to persuade you for arc based for Bakemonogatari and Kara no Kyoukai (in part because I’m a slow reader of Japanese D:)
I’ll probably do FLCL soon – I just bought the final volume a little while ago, and I might re-read Welcome to the NHK for another. I think I can manage one every one or at least two weeks – but as everyone knows we’re all busy orz.
