Isuna Hasekura, author of the popular bestselling light novel series “Spice and Wolf”, this past Monday has launched a new manga called Billionaire Girl in the sixth issue of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine. Teaming up with manga artist Asuka Katsura (of such works like Blood+, Le Portrait de Petit Cossette), the story follows Takatō, an ordinary college student who has been hired as the tutor of Fujioko, a girl who has earned 17 billion yen (about $180 million in US dollars) as a daytrader. Unlike the popular Light Novel series of Hasekura’s, the story will take place in Modern Japan. The manga series will be published on an irregular schedule within the magazine according to Katsura’s website.
