This marks the first post, in a series of weekly posts regarding the ratings of “Cell Phone Novels”. If you don’t know what Cell Phone Novels are, then google about them. They are “extremely” popular in Japan, and thanks to Stan Soper, a single english site called “TextNovel” is hoping to spark the trend in America and beyond. Since TextNovel is the only english cell phone novel website, the ratings can only come from there.

I actually started publishing on textnovel a few weeks ago. None of my stories are intended to be cell phone novels so the format doesn’t quite fit, but I like the site so far. It’s definitely a step forward.

Wow thanks so much for giving Textnovel a nod of attention! It’s so great to see it on a blog dedicated to the subject of light and cell phone novels. I am also a writer on Text Novel and feel that it is a great place to be for the writer or reader. Wonderful people and lots of great stories!
    Cheers!

This is my first time hearing of “cell phone novel”. In fact, I just recently found out there’re “cell phone anime” like Hetalia! I’d love it if you could make an informative post on exactly what “cell phone novel” entails. How often is a chapter? posted? How many words per chapter and such.

How about a post or two on Textnovel’s contest finalists and grand-prize winners? Some of us “best cellers” aren’t as good at drumming up votes of confidence as we are at wspinning a good tale. My winning CHALK GHOST hasn’t made the fan favs list, but it does have followers, and it did catch the attention of the Textnovel editorial board.

Just a thought. Thanks for your interest in Textnovel!
